I really enjoyed this one...just a really cute love story. I loved how feisty Emmie was...even though I wanted to strangle her at times! I read a lot of these romance manga, and so many are so filled with strife and angst...this was a nice change of pace. Just a nice, sweet love story to lose yourself inProduct details

A NineToFive Affair Harlequin comics eBook Jessica Steele Miho Tomoi Reviews
4.5 stars! This is a light-hearted and fun romp of a story that puts a smile on one's face. The interactions between the two leads were delightful and I found the creep-boss-magnet heroine's "chibi" expressions absolutely hilarious! Lovely art & adaptation.
From the backcover I thought this would be a good book. Girl, with a family committment has a boss who is overbearing and needs a PA with no committments. And then it says they'd be stuck together during a storm with only one bedroom. I was thinking, alright! Here we go! Some action.
No. There was no action. This book had no sex scenes. The beginning was choppy and in the first few chapters accerated Emmie's jobs at a fast pace. There are no scenes where Emmie and Barden fall in love. It's only Emmie jaunting off to bring back her "Aunt" Hannah to the residential home she resides in or Emmie and Barden squaring off.
And suddenly at the end, Barden is confessing his love for Emmie and asking to marry her.
I believe it was poorly written. A good storyline that should have been more addressed than it was. Was too choppy and I feel big parts were missing from the middle. I didn't want to finish the book, but I did. But I wasn't left with a good feeling when I turned the final page.
I loved it. It was very good. I hope to red more Manga like this. It might be one of my favorites.
I've been told I have a sick sense of humor and when I read the sample and saw this and cracked up laughing, I KNEW I had to download this book "Though it hadn’t been until after her mother’s death three years later, in one of those freak garden machinery accidents that were never supposed to happen, that Emmie had begun to have any inkling that she and Alec were not financially sound"
Death of her mother in a freak garden machinery accident? WTH?? Did she step on a rake?
Anyway, I sure hope the rest of the book holds gems like this.
